ONE-TO-ONE YOGA SESSIONS FOR BEGINNERS
It’s true!! One-to-One yoga sessions will set you up for success in public yoga classes! This five series “cause and effect” progression builds yogic strength and skills in the fastest, safest, and most confident manner possible. By working from the ground up and the core out, you GET to let go of limiting beliefs about your strength, flexibility and balance. Instead of limitation, embody a growing sense of satisfaction, physical ability and mental focus in every session.
SESSION ONE: ROOT DOWN. RISE UP.
Cause! If you want to change your life, build an awareness and practice of finding your feet! By gaining and growing a relationship between your feet and your brain, standing poses, stability, and focus will blossom!
Effect! Confidently embody standing poses in such a way in ANY PUBLIC class to come! Tadasana! Warrior One! Warrior Two! Each becomes a touchstone, a stable home for your focus and strength in any class.
SESSION TWO: GATHER POWER. GIVE UP LIMITATION.
Cause! Strength is a core-centric skill. Strengthen your full body stability by learning how to find, turn on and move from your core. The idea of ‘core’ gets to change in your mind from six-pack abs to deep fundamental strength and a powerful tool to create integration, strength, power and ultimately… ease.
Effect! Engage your center to access previously untapped potency. Embody the fact that ‘arm balances’ are actually ‘full body integrations,’ and are accessible (in beginning forms!) to even the most rookie of beginners!
SESSION THREE: BEND INTO PREVIOUSLY HELD BELIEFS.
Cause! Leverage the stability and foot attention of our first session and core integration of the second practice to truly embody the understanding that backbends DO NOT NEED TO HURT! Backbends, or as my teacher refers to them, ‘spine-lengtheners’ have many physical, physiological, mental, and emotional benefits. This ignition study empowers, aligns, and inspires your confidence and curiosity of these powerful pose-teachers!
Effect! Painlessly, gain access to the heart space and embody backbends like a BOSS as you proceed forward in any yoga class!
SESSION FOUR: STAND CONFIDENTLY ON ONE FOOT IN A WOBBLY WORLD!
Cause! Every class prior to this one in our series has conspired to unlock this study of standing balancing poses to you. The practice of standing on one foot leverages core strength and builds mental focus like nothing else. This session pulls your intellectual and physical knowledge forward into a growing understanding of why one might play with standing balancing poses and just how they ‘up level’ your yoga practice in just ONE attempt.
Effect! One attempt at a standing balancing pose shifts muscle memory 100%! By engaging, repeating, and continuing to practice them, your yoga practice will confidently grow by leaps and bounds.
SESSION FIVE: MEDITATE AND RADIATE RENEWAL!
Cause! Fact, meditation inspires lasting positive change in those who practice it consistently. Fact two, meditation is an intimidating practice for those for whom ‘clearing the mind’ does not come easily!! This practice debunks the ‘clearing the mind’ myth and instills sound and simple practices to inspire and enliven a meditation practice for years to come. Learn: a comfortable meditative posture, ways into a meditative state, ways to forgive mental wanderings and return to a meditative state, methods of time management to show up to and keep your ‘meditation dates with yourself.’
Effect! Become a kinder, more gentle, focused, ease-filled, creative, inspired, able, less anxious, connected, and loving human.
